Content description:
This workshop introduces modern AI-powered tools that software developers use daily (Claude Code, Kilo Code, Cursor, etc.). We’ll demonstrate how these “vibe coding” tools aren’t just for programmers – the same approach works for document analysis, academic writing, and creating teaching materials. Through hands-on exercises, we’ll try out typical faculty tasks: preliminary thesis review, reference and bibliography validation, feedback generation, and text structuring.
Preinstall node.js (https://nodejs.org/en/download) and VS Code (https://code.visualstudio.com/Download) into your pc.
The Champions workshop will be led by Andres Käver.
Learning outcomes:
1. Understand how professional developers use AI in their work and why it’s effective
2. Use agentic AI tools (Claude Code, etc.) to solve complex tasks
3. Analyze academic texts and identify potential issues using AI
4. Automate bibliography checking and reference validation
5. Use AI for structuring and editing academic texts
