EFAK XXI – Annual Conference of Estonian Philosophy 2026

On 28–29 May 2026, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) will host the XXI Annual Conference of Estonian Philosophy (EFAK), bringing together philosophers, researchers, and technology scholars from Estonia and the international academic community. The two-day conference focuses on contemporary social, ethical, and technological issues, including the impact of artificial intelligence on education, morality, law, and human autonomy.

For TalTech students and researchers interested in AI, the conference programme includes several sessions dedicated to artificial intelligence and philosophy of technology, covering topics such as:

  • AI ethics and moral responsibility
  • the role of artificial intelligence in education
  • questions of autonomy and human agency
  • the impact of generative AI on society and academia
  • relationships between technology and culture
  • and the influence of AI on urban space and everyday life

The keynote lecture will be delivered by Professor Anu Masso: “Do machines have rhythm? AI and the reorganisation of urban life”, focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence on urban life and societal rhythms.
