OpenAI Playground allows experimenting with different input-output formats beyond standard chat, which regular ChatGPT doesn’t support. The OpenAI Playground’s chat section allows users to interact with various AI models (like GPT-5.2) by selecting them from a dropdown. You can adjust model behavior with precise control over parameters like temperature (controls randomness), top-p (controls diversity via nucleus sampling), max tokens (sets the response length), frequency penalty and system instructions.\u202f It also supports file uploads for referencing content in prompts, enabling more context-aware interactions. Other functions in OpenAI Playground include Image generation, building Assistants, Fine-tuning models and other.<\/p>\n
