The workshop begins with a central question: <\/span>when does an AI assistant genuinely support teaching\u2014and when does it not?<\/span><\/i>\u00a0Participants share AI-based solutions they have created or experimented with and\u00a0analyse\u00a0them together with colleagues, focusing on whether the feedback provided is relevant, whether the mode of use feels fair to students, and where ethical boundaries\u00a0emerge.\u00a0During the practical session, participants design an AI assistant for their own course that qualifies as a teaching assistant and can be used in a transparent and well-justified manner. Various tools (e.g.\u00a0NotebookLM,\u00a0HeyGen,\u00a0GPTEdu) are explored to understand not only\u00a0<\/span>how<\/span><\/i>\u00a0to use them, but\u00a0<\/span>why<\/span><\/i>\u2014and whether\u2014they should be integrated into teaching practice at all.\u00a0The lecture\u00a0component\u00a0situates these practical experiences within a broader framework, addressing the role of AI in academic teaching, the boundaries of responsibility and authorship, and the importance of open dialogue with students when\u00a0establishing\u00a0agreements around AI use.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  2. critically evaluate whether an AI assistant provides relevant and pedagogically sound feedback;<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. engage in open dialogue with students about the scope and ethics of AI use in their course;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. create learning materials using\u00a0NotebookLM,\u00a0HeyGen, and\u00a0GPTEdu;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
